Nanette Elster is vice president at Spence & Elster and a lecturer at Neiswanger Institute.
Ms. Elster earned her law degree from Loyola University of Chicago and a Masters of Public Health degree from Boston University School of Public Health. She was admitted to the Illinois State Bar in 1989 and has been practicing reproductive law since 1994. As an attorney and bioethicist, Ms. Elster has extensive experience in the legal and ethical issues of women’s and children’s health, genetics, and assisted reproduction. Ms. Elster is an avid writer, speaker and lecturer on reproductive law and genetic issues. In addition to Mitchell Hamline, she serves on the adjunct faculty at several Chicago-based universities, and on the board of the Chicago Center for Jewish Genetic Disorders.
