Status: Full Time
In collaboration with the Director and Coordinator, the Assistant Director is responsible for: developing, maintaining relationships with, supervising, training and supporting the program’s adjuncts; developing curriculum; teaching large-group sessions; and supporting and advising students. Specifically, this position will develop and implement adjunct orientation and training, participate in the annual adjunct recruitment and selection process; respond to adjunct inquiries and requests; oversee development of motion practice problems; assist in the classroom when adjuncts are unavailable; and provide advice and support to students and respond to student inquiries and concerns.
Qualifications: J.D. required; 3-5 years of academic teaching, preferably in legal writing, and experience in legal practice required. Previous experience in program administration preferred. Excellent oral and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills; ability to develop and maintain effective and positive relationships; ability to work collaboratively; and excellent planning, organizational, problem solving skills in order to execute a variety of plans at multiple levels.
