We are uniquely positioned to capitalize on the early success of the Hybrid J.D. Program and establish ourselves as an international leader in hybrid and online legal education. The program currently enjoys a first-mover advantage: it is the only on-campus/online J.D. program at an ABA-approved law school.
The Hybrid J.D. Program, introduced in January 2015, has quickly established itself as one of the most remarkable innovations in legal education. Enrollment has surpassed expectations, and the student feedback and academic outcomes are already confirming the value and reach of the program’s unique curricular design.
Now is the time to seize the opportunity to create a transformative delivery model for a new era of legal education.
Our vision
Our vision has several components:
- Add specialty tracks: Develop focus-area tracks, such as cyber security, business law, health law, intellectual property law, and alternative dispute resolution, so students can focus on an area of law that corresponds to their interests or current profession.
- Increase class size: After demonstrating the success of the program’s learning and access outcomes, work with the ABA to raise the maximum number of students allowed per class, while maintaining quality.
- Expand internationally: Increase the number of international students in the Hybrid J.D. Program by offering our certificate programs and LL.M. degree via the Hybrid J.D. Program.
Achieving this vision requires an investment of resources—time, talent, and financial—to expand the hybrid model and its applications to other programs and opportunities, nationally and internationally. Now is the time to do this.
