Volunteer Before Your First Day of Law School<\/h2>\n

Minnesota Justice Foundation<\/span><\/a> (MJF) is a nonprofit that works with Mitchell Hamline and the other local law schools to create opportunities for law students to perform public interest and pro bono legal services. Many students pursue volunteer work to gain skills and explore different areas of the law while helping serve their communities.<\/span><\/p>\n

Incoming students are welcome to participate in volunteer experiences during the summer before law school and MJF can help pair you with partner organizations in the Twin Cities metro area. Blended learning students located outside Minnesota can work with the MJF staff attorney on an individual basis to identify possible volunteer opportunities. Time commitments vary and include everything from one-time volunteer opportunities to a commitment of 4-8 hours per week or more. This is a great way to meet other law students and attorneys while serving the community and learning about local legal services providers.<\/span><\/p>\n
