This is a class the Mitchell Hamline students have chosen to take to learn\/develop their trial skills. Most of the students in the class are in their third year of law school. The jurors need to arrive at <strong>8:30 am<\/strong>. The trials will begin at<strong> 9:00 am. <\/strong>The trials should be done by <strong>3:00 pm<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The name of the case the students will be trying is Darngood v. Landers. This is a civil case that arose out of a traffic accident.<\/p>\n<h2>National Institute of Trial Advocacy (NITA)<\/h2>\n<p>The second opportunity is on <strong>Thursday, June 26, 2025<\/strong>. Judge Cindy McCollum is hosting a NITA CLE at Mitchell Hamline. Attendees are practicing attorneys who want to enhance their trial skills.\u00a0Jurors need to arrive by <strong>7:45 am<\/strong> and the trials will start <strong>8:00\/8:30<\/strong> and will be done by <strong>12:00 noon<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The name of the case the attorneys will be trying is BMI v. Minicom. This is a contract case.<\/p>\n<h2>Advanced Advocacy: Criminal Trial<\/h2>\n<p>The third opportunity is on <strong>Monday, August 4, 2025<\/strong>. This is a class the Mitchell Hamline students have chosen to take to learn\/develop their trial skills. Most of the students in the class are in their third year of law school. The jurors need to arrive at <strong>8:30 am<\/strong>. The trials will begin at <strong>9:00 am.<\/strong> The trials should be done by <strong>3:00 pm<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The name of the case the students will be trying is State v. Chambers. This is a criminal case.<\/p>\n<p>All the trials will be held at Mitchell Hamline School of Law, located at 875 Summit Avenue, St. Paul, MN 55105.<\/p>\n<h2>Schedule<\/h2>\n<p>There will be a short jury selection before each of the trials so the students\/lawyers can practice that skill. During the trial, jurors will get a morning break and an afternoon break. A light lunch will be provided and will last approximately 25 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>After the trial, the jurors will be asked to deliberate on a verdict, announce the verdict, and offer constructive feedback to the students\/lawyers.
