Timothy W. Dunn, . age 71, died 5-25-2017. Tim, a proud life-long resident of north Minneapolis, worked hard to put himself through DeLaSalle High School and the University of Minnesota, while also serving in the Air National Guard. As a young husband and father he worked during the day and attended William Mitchell Law School at night. He practiced law in the Twin Cities for 43 years, first with Fallon, Faricy, Green, Battis and Wolf, then with Faricy and Dunn, and lastly as a solo practitioner. In addition to private practice, he worked several years with Tim Dwyer as adjunct professor at William Mitchell supervising students who were trying cases in Juvenile Court. He also served for many years as a Hennepin County Conciliation Court referee. He always saw his practice of the law as a way to help people when they were at their most vulnerable. In his personal life, Tim spent his time doing everything he could to support the people and institutions he believed in. Whether it was non-profit boards, coaching baseball, leading Boy Scout activities, or working with the local polling places to verify federal elections, Tim was devoted not only to ideals but to action. To his dearest long-time friends, Tim was known as “Mojo'” and the life force that nickname implies fit him perfectly. Tim loved growing tomatoes, listening to “his” cardinal sing, passionately discussing the latest political news, and family car trips. More than anything, Tim loved spending time with family and friends. His generous nature and keen sense of humor were much valued by all who knew him.
