Inspired by former Minnesota Supreme Court Justice Esther M. Tomljanovich ’55, the Celebration of Women in Law Tea recognizes\u00a0the accomplishments and challenges\u00a0of women in the legal profession for over a quarter of a century.<\/p>\n

Her passion for First Amendment rights stems from her pre-law school experience as a news editor and producer for CNN Headline News. \nSimon is Minnesota\u2019s 22nd Secretary of State, sworn into office on January 5, 2015. As Minnesota\u2019s chief elections administrator Simon pledged in his inaugural address to \u201cwork with anyone, of any political affiliation, from any part of our state\u201d to protect, defend, and strengthen the right to vote in Minnesota.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
