Jevon Bindman \u201914<\/p><\/div>\n

Jevon Bindman \u201914, who was recently elected a partner in Maslon\u2019s Litigation Group, is the new co-author of the latest edition of Courtroom Handbook of Minnesota Evidence<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Bindman co-authored the publication with Peter N. Thompson<\/a>, a Mitchell Hamline emeritus professor.<\/p>\n

For several decades, Thompson had written yearly updates to the book with esteemed litigator and author David Herr \u201978<\/a>, who died in December 2021. Herr had been a mentor to Bindman at Maslon and passed on some of his many writing duties to Bindman \u2013 along with fellow Maslon partner Erica Holzer \u201913.<\/p>\n

This is Bindman\u2019s first time appearing as a co-author of the handbook, which is an immediate reference for attorneys in court or at their desk that compiles the Minnesota Rules of Evidence with expert commentary on how those rules are applied in courts. The book, Vol. 11A in the Minnesota Practice Series, is published by Thomson West.<\/p>\n

Thompson said Herr\u2019s name was supposed to still appear as a co-author, given his years of work to keep the volume updated, a mistake they plan to correct with next year\u2019s update.<\/p>\n

Bindman is an experienced trial lawyer who regularly handles appeals in the Eighth Circuit and Minnesota appellate courts. He is a member of the Minnesota Supreme Court Advisory Committees on the Rules of Evidence and the Rules of Civil Procedure and serves on Minnesota State Bar Association Construction Law Section’s legislative committee.<\/p>\n
