Membership in the American College of Trial Lawyers is by invitation only and only after careful investigation of lawyers from diverse backgrounds having at least 15 years trial experience; who have mastered the art of advocacy; and whose professional careers have been marked by the highest standards of ethical conduct, professionalism, civility, and collegiality. \u202fThe aim of the organization is to maintain and improve \u201cthe standards of trial practice, professionalism, ethics, and the administration of justice.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am honored and humbled to be selected as a fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers and will continuously strive to reflect its ideals and values inside and outside of the courtroom,\u201d said Schleicher, in a news release.<\/p>\n<p>Schleicher is a litigation partner at Maslon and chair of its investigations and white-collar defense group where he concentrates on high stakes criminal and civil litigation, government and internal investigations, and appellate practice. He\u2019s also a former federal prosecutor and renowned trial lawyer. He\u2019s best known for his role as a special prosecutor in the internationally televised trial of former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin for the murder of George Floyd, as well as his prosecution work in the case of the kidnapping and murder of 11-year-old Jacob Wetterling in central Minnesota.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Steve Schleicher \u201995 was recently inducted as a fellow of the nation\u2019s preeminent organization of trial lawyers.
