Brad Lehrman ’81<\/p><\/div>\n

Brad Lehrman \u201881, former pro bono counsel of World Without Genocide, has joined the board of directors; and Holly Dolejsi \u201909 is the new pro bono<\/em> counsel.<\/p>\n

Lehrman has dedicated much of his legal career to human rights and pro bono<\/em> work, including for the Minneapolis Jewish Community Center, Midwest Anti-Defamation League, Round Earth Media, and The Advocates for Human Rights. A retired partner of Soffer Lehrman Law Group, he practiced in corporate finance and entrepreneurial venture. He received the \u201c50 over 50\u201d Award from Pollen MN and AARP for his significant leadership and contributions to the innovation community.<\/p>\n

Lehrman\u2019s affiliation at World Without Genocide began in 2005, with collaboration on advocacy to address the genocide in Darfur. He was a member of the founding board of directors and subsequently served as pro bono<\/em> counsel for nearly 15 years. When he retired from the practice of law at the end of 2023, he joined as a board member.<\/p>\n

Holly Dolejsi ’09<\/p><\/div>\n

Dolejsi is a par tner at Robins Kaplan and was profiled in 2023 by the American Bar Association in a feature titled Meet 12 Lawyers Who Inspire Us<\/em>. Dolejsi secured a $589 million settlement from pharmaceutical manufacturers on behalf of all federally recognized American Indian tribes. She assisted the state of Minnesota in winning a $60.5 million dollar settlement for deceptive marketing of e-cigarettes to youth, making her one of Minnesota Lawyer\u2019s<\/em> 2023 Attorneys of the Year. Pro bono<\/em> work, especially assisting transgender and nonbinary individuals, is a key focus of Dolejsi\u2019s practice. She also has expanded professional opportunities for women lawyers by co-creating the Women Trial Lawyers Conference, now in its seventh year.<\/p>\n

World Without Genocide, an organization based at Mitchell Hamline School of Law, promotes education and action to protect innocent people, prevent genocide, prosecute perpetrators, and remember those affected by genocide. World Without Genocide is formally associated with the UN Department of Global Communications and is in Special Consultative Status with the UN Economic and Social Council since 2022.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
