The nomination period for the 2025 Alumni Awards is open until August 1, 2025.<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<h2>Nomination guidelines<\/h2>\n<p>Please submit the form for the award for which you want to make a nomination. The forms are available below, along with the descriptions of the awards.<\/p>\n<p>The nominations committee of the alumni board will not review any materials beyond the nominator\u2019s submission. Current members of the board of trustees and the alumni board are not eligible to be nominated, and the committee does not accept self-nominations. \u00a0If you&#8217;d like a nominee to be considered for the Distinguished and Outstanding Alumni Awards, please provide a separate submission for each award.<\/p>\n<p>You are free to nominate more than one person for the alumni board\u2019s consideration. <a href=\"https:\/\/mitchellhamline.edu\/alumni\/alumni-award-recipients\/\">Check out past award winners here.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>When reviewing the submissions, in addition to the qualities for each award, the nominations committee will consider:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"default\">\n<li>Representation of both legacy schools in selecting the three recipients;<\/li>\n<li>Representation of non-traditional as well as traditional careers in the law;<\/li>\n<li>Representation of our alumni community&#8217;s presence both locally and nationally.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Distinguished Alumni Award criteria<\/h3>\n<p>The Distinguished Alumni Award recognizes alumni who demonstrate the highest values and ethical standards in achieving professional distinction or lasting contributions to their field of endeavor, including professional accomplishments of a distinctly creative or challenging nature or outstanding leadership within the profession.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/mitchellhamline.edu\/alumni\/distinguished-alumni-award-nomination-form\/\">Distinguished Alumni Award nomination form<\/a><\/p>\n<h3>Outstanding Alumni Award criteria<\/h3>\n<p>The Outstanding Alumni Award recognizes alumni who have demonstrated commitment to the school, including significant involvement with programs and services in support of students and\/or alumni, dedicated service on the board of trustees and\/or the alumni association board of directors, or noted participation as a member of the faculty or staff.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/mitchellhamline.edu\/alumni\/outstanding-alumni-award-nomination-form\/\">Outstanding Alumni Award nomination form<\/a><\/p>\n<h3>Recent Alumni Award criteria<\/h3>\n<p>The Recent Alumni Award recognizes alumni who have made significant contributions to their community, Mitchell Hamline, and\/or the legal profession within the first ten years following graduation<strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/mitchellhamline.edu\/alumni\/recent-alumni-award-nomination-form\/\">Recent Alumni Award nomination form<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The alumni board welcomes nominations for the Mitchell Hamline Alumni Awards.
