Louise Behrendt is well-known to the Twin Cities legal community as a thoughtful and talented writer, skilled in legal analysis and persuasion. She is presently Senior Counsel at Meagher & Geer, P.L.L.P., where she handles motions and appeals in complex toxic tort matters, and before that was a partner at the Minneapolis law firm of Stich, Angell, Kreidler, Unke & Scattergood, P.A., where she practiced civil litigation in the areas of insurance coverage, premises liability, employment discrimination, personal injury, products liability, defamation, and civil rights. Since 1997 her practice has focused primarily on motion practice and appellate work, and she is the principal author on more than 60 appeals in state and federal court.
She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Minnesota and her law degree from William Mitchell College of Law in 1989..
