Mary Dean has spent her career as a transactional, in-house counsel, and business lawyer. Her broad range of experience includes, among other things, contract negotiation and drafting; global intellectual property; products and premises liability; marketing and advertising matters; data privacy; franchising/distribution and antitrust; entity management; and manufacturing.
Mary started teaching at Mitchell Hamline in 2014 as an assistant adjunct for the Commercial Law Survey course. She joined the blended learning team in 2015 as an adjunct professor for Contracts: Transactional Law adding Intro to Business Organizations in 2018 and International Business Transactions in 2019.
Mary is a 2008 William Mitchell College of Law graduate and has been a member of the MN State Bar Association’s Corporate Counsel Section Council since 2014, during which time she has served as both chair and treasurer.
