Requests for Reciprocity for Job Seekers<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/h1>\n

Mitchell Hamline School of Law Students and Graduates<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n

A Mitchell Hamline School of Law student or graduate may request reciprocity to utilize the career services resources of another participating law school outside of Minnesota. To find out the reciprocity policy of a particular law school, visit the individual school\u2019s career services website or visit the <\/span>NALP website<\/span><\/a>. <\/span>Note that many law schools may restrict the use of their resources because of the demands of on-campus interviewing and other programs and can differ depending on the institution and market demands. <\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

To request reciprocity at another law school, fill out this form<\/a>. In addition to this form, you will be required to meet with your career advisor prior to approval of your request. The Mitchell Hamline Office of Career and Professional Development will contact the identified school to request reciprocity on your behalf.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Students and Graduates of Other Law Schools<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n

The Office of Career and Professional Development at Mitchell Hamline School of Law is pleased to provide access to its online job listings via 12twenty to students and\/or graduates of law schools outside of Minnesota under the following terms:<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

  1. Reciprocity services are available only to students and\/or graduates of other ABA-approved law schools which allow Mitchell Hamline law students and\/or graduates matching services.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Requests will be honored for a period of three months from the date of approval and may be extended for an additional three months upon request. A request for an extension must be submitted by the student\u2019s or graduate\u2019s career services office.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Mitchell Hamline School of Law reciprocity services will not be available during on-campus interview (OCI) programming or Legal Employment Accelerator Program (L.E.A.P.) dates, which vary each year.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Schools seeking reciprocity must abide by the agreement among the Minnesota law schools stating that reciprocity is available through one Minnesota law school only. Students and graduates from University of St. Thomas Law School and University of Minnesota Law School are not eligible for reciprocity from Mitchell Hamline School of Law.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
