The Rosalie E. Wahl Moot Court Competition helps participants develop brief-writing and oral argument skills in a courtroom setting. Participants research a designated legal issue, and then are paired into teams and write a brief for either the Appellant or the Respondent in a case presenting those legal issues. Teams then present oral arguments (on both sides of the case) to panels of judges. Three to six participants from the spring competition are invited to represent the law school in the National Moot Court competition the following year.
This competition is open to all students who have completed their first year. Intra-school competitors receive two (2) pass/fail credits.
Credits
Teams representing the law school at the regional competition receive two (2) additional credits.
