Mitchell Hamline is again fielding a team at the Jeffrey Miller National Environmental Law Moot Court Competition, organized by Pace University Law School.\u00a0 Applications are due September TBA, 2025 at 5pm.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Students chosen for the Mitchell Hamline team will write an appellate brief on several contemporary issues in environmental law, chosen by the sponsoring organization . The brief is written without faculty or other assistance and is due no later than November TBA, 2025.\u00a0 Students will then develop oral arguments with the assistance of their coaches ahead of the preliminary oral arguments on February TBA, 2026<\/strong>. Team members should plan to invest substantial time each week working on the brief and preparing for oral arguments. The team is coached by .\u00a0 Students must have completed their first year to be considered. Students receive 2 credits.<\/p>\n

Students interested in trying out should submit the following to TBA no later than, September TBA, 2025 at 5 p.m.<\/strong><\/p>\n

  1. Brief explanation of interest (75-150 words) and<\/li>\n
  2. A short legal writing sample (e.g. argument section of a brief or motion memorandum)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
