Students with disabilities who intend on seeking accommodations may due so through the accommodation request process.\u00a0 Information on the process for requesting accommodations can be found by following the link below.<\/p>\n<ul class=\"default\">\n<li><a href=\"\/disability-services\/requesting-accommodations\/\">Accommodation request process\u00a0<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"accordion-wrapper\">\n<h3 class=\"accordion-title\">Frequently Asked Questions<\/h3>\n<ul class=\"accordion\">\n<li class=\"accordion-item\">\n<h4 class=\"accordion-item-title\">Does Mitchell Hamline School of Law provide services for students with disabilities?<\/h4>\n<div class=\"accordion-item-body\">Yes, support services, including accommodations are provided for students with disabilities to ensure equitable access in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the ADA Amendments Act (ADAAA), Section 504 and Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, the Minnesota Respond, Innovate, Succeed, and Empower (RISE) Act, and other applicable state laws.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"accordion-item\">\n<h4 class=\"accordion-item-title\">Is there a fee for Disability Services?<\/h4>\n<div class=\"accordion-item-body\">No, Mitchell Hamline does not charge a fee for Disability Services. Students are responsible for aids or assistance of a personal nature such as a wheelchair, hearing aids, computers to be used at home, personal care assistants, etc.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"accordion-item\">\n<h4 class=\"accordion-item-title\">I am planning a campus visit; can I meet with someone from Disability Services during my visit?<\/h4>\n<div class=\"accordion-item-body\">Yes. Visit arrangements can be made through the Admissions office. Please note that the Disability Services team will not make any finalized determinations of accommodations or review documentation during prospective campus visits. Meetings with prospective students will prioritize general accommodation options.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"accordion-item\">\n<h4 class=\"accordion-item-title\">Should I submit my disability documentation with my admissions application?<\/h4>\n<div class=\"accordion-item-body\">No. Disability-related documentation should be submitted directly to the Disability Services team at disabilityservices@mitchellhamline.edu.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"accordion-item\">\n<h4 class=\"accordion-item-title\">I have been accepted to Mitchell Hamline School of Law. When should I request accommodations and submit documentation?<\/h4>\n<div class=\"accordion-item-body\">Congratulations on being accepted to MHSL! Accommodation requests and documentation can be submitted at any time. We encourage new students to reach out to the Disability Services team at disabilityservices@mitchellhamline.edu for more information on next steps. <\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"accordion-item\">\n<h4 class=\"accordion-item-title\">Is there a deadline for requesting accommodations?<\/h4>\n<div class=\"accordion-item-body\">No, the process for requesting accommodations is rolling, and students can request accommodations at any point during their time at Mitchell Hamline School of Law.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"accordion-item\">\n<h4 class=\"accordion-item-title\">How do I request accommodations?<\/h4>\n<div class=\"accordion-item-body\">Students interested in seeking accommodations can start the accommodation request process by visiting the <a href=\"https:\/\/mitchellhamline.edu\/disability-services\/requesting-accommodations\/\">requesting accommodations<\/a> page and completing the online accommodation request form.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"accordion-item\">\n<h4 class=\"accordion-item-title\">What documentation will I need?<\/h4>\n<div class=\"accordion-item-body\">It is helpful if documentation is comprehensive and provides a connection between the disability, or disabilities, and the accommodation(s) being requested. Please access our <a href=\"https:\/\/mitchellhamline.edu\/disability-services\/documentation-information\/\">documentation information<\/a> page for more guidance.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"accordion-item\">\n<h4 class=\"accordion-item-title\">Who will have access to my disability related information?<\/h4>\n<div class=\"accordion-item-body\">All information related to a student\u2019s disability will be maintained by the Disability Services department. Information related to specific accommodations may be shared with specified staff members to facilitate approved accommodations. Information about a student\u2019s disability identity will not be shared with a student\u2019s professor unless the student provides consent.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"accordion-item\">\n<h4 class=\"accordion-item-title\">Will my accommodations be indicated on my Mitchell Hamline transcripts?<\/h4>\n<div class=\"accordion-item-body\">No, accommodations are not indicated on a students&#8217; Mitchell Hamline transcripts.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"accordion-item\">\n<h4 class=\"accordion-item-title\">If I had accommodations for the LSAT or at a previous college or university, will they carry over?<\/h4>\n<div class=\"accordion-item-body\">Accommodations from previous institutions or tests will not automatically carry over.
