{"id":3854,"date":"2025-07-29T16:49:30","date_gmt":"2025-07-29T21:49:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mitchellhamline.edu\/disability-services\/?page_id=3854"},"modified":"2025-10-16T15:19:55","modified_gmt":"2025-10-16T20:19:55","slug":"generating-accommodation-letters","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/mitchellhamline.edu\/disability-services\/generating-accommodation-letters\/","title":{"rendered":"Generating Accommodation Letters"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Please know it is your responsibility to generate and download copies of your Accommodation Letters each term.<\/p>\n<p>For testing and alternative format textbook requests, generating your letter is only the first step to receive your accommodations.<\/p>\n<ul class=\"default\">\n<li>Log into your <a href=\"https:\/\/bona.accessiblelearning.com\/MitchellHamline\">MHSL Disability Services Student Portal<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Select \u201c<strong>My Dashboard<\/strong>\u201d from your Student Portal home screen, located on the left-hand side<\/li>\n<li>Under the\u00a0<strong>\u201cOverview\u201d <\/strong>tab, click on \u201cAdd Requests for X Classes\u201d under the current term box.<\/li>\n<li>Review the list of your classes for this semester.\u202f<strong>Select the classes<\/strong>\u202ffor which you would like to use\/assign (\u201crequest\u201d) your approved accommodations. Then click \u201cContinue to Next Step.\u201d You can also click \u201cApply the same accommodations to all selected courses.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Select which of your\u202f<strong>approved accommodations<\/strong>\u202fyou would like to use for each class.\u202f You are not required to select all of them. Then click \u201cSubmit Request.\u201d Be sure you receive a notice that says \u201cSystem Update Is Successful.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>You will be able to\u202f<strong>download a PDF version<\/strong>\u202fof each letter.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>You\u2019ve Generated Your Accommodation Letters, Now What?<\/h3>\n<ul class=\"default\">\n<li>Unless our department has instructed you to share your letters with your faculty, please know <strong>Accommodation Letters are for your records. <\/strong><\/li>\n<li>For specific accommodation requests to be implemented, <strong>you must separately fill out the applicable form<\/strong>(s). Please see our guides on exam requests and alternative format books if you need instructions on how to complete these.
