{"id":3855,"date":"2025-08-11T15:31:32","date_gmt":"2025-08-11T20:31:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mitchellhamline.edu\/disability-services\/?page_id=3855"},"modified":"2025-10-16T15:18:31","modified_gmt":"2025-10-16T20:18:31","slug":"how-to-submit-an-exam-request","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/mitchellhamline.edu\/disability-services\/how-to-submit-an-exam-request\/","title":{"rendered":"How to Submit An Exam Request"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>For any quizzes\/exams\/finals where you need testing accommodations, please follow the steps below:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"default\">\n<li>Log into your <a href=\"https:\/\/bona.accessiblelearning.com\/MitchellHamline\">MHSL Disability Services Student Portal<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Under the \u201cAccommodations\u201d box, click on \u201c<strong>Alternative Testing<\/strong>\u201d<\/li>\n<li>From the\u202fdrop-down menu\u202fat the top of the page, select the\u202fclass\u202fyou would like to schedule an exam for. Click on the\u202f<strong>\u201cSchedule Exam\u201d<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"default\">\n<li>Please know you will need to generate Accommodation Letters of your classes in order for them to appear in your Alternative Testing module.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>On the \u201cExam Request\u201d page, scroll down and\u202f<strong>complete the \u201cExam Detail\u201d section.<\/strong>\u202fPlease be sure to select the appropriate exam type and input all essential information. After you have answered all of the questions, click on\u202f<strong>\u201cAdd Exam Request.\u201d<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>After submitting an exam request, you will see a\u202f<strong>\u201cSystem Update is Successful\u201d<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Please know students are required to submit an exam request for every exam they wish to use their approved testing accommodations.<\/p>\n<h2>You\u2019ve Scheduled Your Exam, Now What?<\/h2>\n<ul class=\"default\">\n<li>You will receive a confirmation email indicating that Disability Services has received your exam request.<\/li>\n<li>You can check the status of each submitted exam request under the \u201cAll Exam Requests\u201d section in the \u201cAlternative Testing\u201d box\n<ul class=\"default\">\n<li>For exam requests that have not yet been processed\/approved, you can click \u201cView\u201d on the exam request to access notes\/information entered by our staff.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Once your exam details have been confirmed and posted on Canvas\/Themis, you will receive an additional confirmation email stating that your exam request has been processed and any additional information you should be aware of.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>For any quizzes\/exams\/finals where you need testing accommodations, please follow the steps below: Log into your MHSL Disability Services Student Portal Under the \u201cAccommodations\u201d box, click on \u201cAlternative Testing\u201d From the\u202fdrop-down menu\u202fat the top of the page, select the\u202fclass\u202fyou would like to schedule an exam for.
