{"id":3856,"date":"2025-08-11T15:31:17","date_gmt":"2025-08-11T20:31:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mitchellhamline.edu\/disability-services\/?page_id=3856"},"modified":"2025-08-13T15:32:58","modified_gmt":"2025-08-13T20:32:58","slug":"alternative-format-textbook-requests","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/mitchellhamline.edu\/disability-services\/alternative-format-textbook-requests\/","title":{"rendered":"Alternative Format Textbook Requests"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>For any textbooks that you would like to request in an alternative format, please follow the steps below:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"default\">\n<li>Log into your <a href=\"https:\/\/bona.accessiblelearning.com\/MitchellHamline\">MHSL Disability Services Student Portal<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Under the \u201cAccommodations\u201d box, click on \u201c<strong>Alternative Formats<\/strong>\u201d<\/li>\n<li>In the upper right corner, select <strong>\u201cRequests\u201d<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>On this page, you may enter the details of the textbook you are requesting under \u201c<strong>Reading Material<\/strong>\u201d. Please note that you may only submit a request for one book at a time.<\/li>\n<li>After the form is completed, select \u201cSubmit Request\u201d and repeat for all textbooks you would like to request<\/li>\n<li>After submitting your request(s), select \u201c<strong>Upload Receipt<\/strong>\u201d in the upper right-hand corner of the page and upload your receipt(s) under \u201c<strong>Receipt Detail<\/strong>\u201d<\/li>\n<li>To submit requests to the publisher, we need an invoice receipt of the book(s) purchase with these things listed (<strong>please make sure this information matches your work order<\/strong>):\n<ul class=\"default\">\n<li>Title and edition<\/li>\n<li>Authors<\/li>\n<li>Publisher<\/li>\n<li>ISBN<\/li>\n<li>Student&#8217;s\u00a0 name<\/li>\n<li>Student&#8217;s shipping address<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>You\u2019ve Requested Your Alternative Format Books, Now What?<\/h2>\n<ul class=\"default\">\n<li>You will receive a confirmation email indicating that Disability Services has received your alternative format request.<\/li>\n<li>If a receipt is not submitted, our office will send a request for a receipt.<\/li>\n<li>You can check the status of your request at any time by returning to the \u201cRequests\u201d page in the \u201cAlternative Formats\u201d section of the \u201cAccommodations\u201d box.<\/li>\n<li>Once your request has been fulfilled, you will receive an email notifying you that your request is available for download.<\/li>\n<li>To download your alternative format textbook:\n<ul class=\"default\">\n<li>Log into your <a href=\"https:\/\/bona.accessiblelearning.com\/MitchellHamline\">MHSL Disability Services Student Portal<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Under the \u201cAccommodations\u201d box, click on \u201c<strong>Alternative Formats<\/strong>\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Under \u201cRequests Summary,\u201d select \u201c<strong>Download Book<\/strong>\u201d<\/li>\n<li>On this page, you will find a record of your submission(s).
