This scholarship is a tribute to the legacy of Nelson Mandela and his dedication to justice and equality. We are proud to offer this scholarship to African-American college students\/graduates planning to attend law school in the Fall of 2025, 2026, 2027, or 2028.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Scholarship Details:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"default\">\n<li><strong>1st Place:<\/strong> $5,000 + Certificate<\/li>\n<li><strong>2nd Place:<\/strong> $2,000 + Certificate<\/li>\n<li><strong>3rd Place:<\/strong> $1,000 + Certificate<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Eligibility Criteria:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"default\">\n<li>Applicants must submit a proposal (500-1000 words) answering the essay question:<br \/>\n<em>\u201cAs a future lawyer, how do you plan to leverage your legal education and skills to drive meaningful change and uplift marginalized communities?\u201d<\/em><\/li>\n<li>A current resume<\/li>\n<li>A transcript from all institutions attended<\/li>\n<li>Proof of acceptance to law school for Fall 2025<\/li>\n<li>Documentation of community service, extracurricular activities, and future career plans<\/li>\n<li>Attendance at the NBLSA Pre-Law Symposium on March 14th, 2025, in Atlanta, GA<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Deadline:<\/strong> March 1, 2025<\/p>\n<p>Submit all materials via email to <strong><a href=\"mailto:prelaw@nblsa.org\">prelaw@nblsa.org<\/a><\/strong> by the deadline to be considered for the award.<\/p>\n<p>We encourage you to apply and showcase your passion for social justice and transformative leadership in the legal field.
