The presentation was at CADCA\u2019s Mid-Year\u00a0Training Institute in Las Vegas, Nevada.<\/p>\n<h3>Frost, Natasha<\/h3>\n<h4>PRESENTATION<\/h4>\n<p>7\/21\/16 &#8220;Worksites, Breastfeeding, and Your Responsibilities Under the Law&#8221;<br \/>\nPublic Health Law Center staff attorney Natasha Frost co-presented a Center webinar about federal and state\u00a0laws requiring employers to provide nursing moms time and a private space to express breast milk while at\u00a0work, and how the laws apply to Minnesota businesses.<\/p>\n<p>7\/28\/16 &#8220;Supporting Pathways to Healthy Kansas Grantees&#8221;<br \/>\nPublic Health Law Center staff attorney Natasha Frost made a presentation about the Public Health Law Center,\u00a0its work in Kansas, and the resources and technical assistance it provides to Kansas communities at the\u00a0Pathways to a Healthy Kansas Kick-off Event in Topeka, Kansas.<\/p>\n<h3>Larson, Anna<\/h3>\n<h4>PRESENTATION<\/h4>\n<p>7\/26\/16 &#8220;Leveraging Community Coalitions to Increase Access to Healthy Food through PSE Initiatives&#8221;<br \/>\nPublic Health Law Center New Sector fellow Anna Larson co-presented on the Minnesota community\u00a0coalitions working to increase access to healthy food in Minnesota communities, and common strategies\u00a0coalitions have identified. She also helped review the work the Public Health Law Center is doing both with\u00a0SHIP grantees as well as through its SNAP-Ed Community Partnership project with University of Minnesota\u00a0Extension. The presentation was made at the 2016 Annual MDH Statewide Health Improvement Program\u00a0Meeting in Eagan, Minnesota.<\/p>\n<h3>Marrow, Mary<\/h3>\n<h4>PRESENTATION<\/h4>\n<p>7\/18\/16 &#8220;Working with Minnesota Local Governments to Increase Access to Healthy Food: Part IV&#8221;<br \/>\nPublic Health Law Center staff attorney Mary Marrow presented the fourth Center webinar in a series about\u00a0working with local governments in Minnesota to increase access to healthy food. This webinar focused on\u00a0equity and building authentic relationships.<\/p>\n<p>7\/26\/16 &#8220;Leveraging Community Coalitions to Increase Access to Healthy Food through PSE\u00a0Initiatives&#8221;<br \/>\nPublic Health Law Center staff attorney Mary Marrow co-presented on the Minnesota community coalitions\u00a0working to increase access to healthy food in Minnesota communities, and common strategies coalitions have<br \/>\nidentified. He presented an update on state and local ecigarette\u00a0regulation to an audience of tobacco control practitioners, government representatives, philanthropic\u00a0leaders, and researchers.<\/p>\n<h3>Pope, Thaddeus<\/h3>\n<h4>OTHER<\/h4>\n<p>7\/1\/16 &#8220;UpToDate&#8221;<br \/>\nIn July, Professor Pope was invited to be a legal author for UpToDate, an evidence-based clinical decision\u00a0support resource which clinicians use to make point-of-care decisions. UpToDate uses a rigorous editorial<br \/>\nprocess to synthesize the most recent developments into trusted, evidence-based recommendations that are\u00a0proven to improve patient care and quality. More than 1.1 million clinicians in 180 countries and almost 90% of<br \/>\nU.S. academic medical centers rely on UpToDate to provide the best care.<\/p>\n<h4>MEDIA<\/h4>\n<p>7\/13\/16 &#8220;The Mercury News&#8221;<br \/>\nProfessor Thaddeus Pope was quoted in the Mercury News article &#8220;Jahi McMath: Court says family can try to\u00a0prove she&#8217;s alive.&#8221;<br \/>\nhttp:\/\/www.mercurynews.com\/bay-area-news\/ci_30124280\/jahi-mcmath-family-clears-another-legal-hurdlecivil<\/p>\n<h4>PRESENTATION<\/h4>\n<p>7\/28\/16 &#8220;Medical Jurisprudence&#8221;<br \/>\nOn July 28 and 29, Professor Thaddeus Pope delivered eight lectures on Medical Jurisprudence to 700 medical\u00a0students at Saint Georges University in Grenada, West Indies.<\/p>\n<h3>Ralson Aoki, Julie<\/h3>\n<h4>PRESENTATION<\/h4>\n<p>7\/26\/16 &#8220;Setting the Course for Healthier Food Retail: Grocery and Convenience Stores&#8221;<br \/>\nPublic Health Law Center staff attorney Julie Ralston Aoki presented on the significant challenges faced by\u00a0neighborhood grocery and convenience stores in many communities, particularly in rural areas, in successfully<br \/>\nproviding the variety of foods needed to support healthy diets, and the lessons learned about moving forward\u00a0with positive, sustainable changes.
