Issues and Options in Regulating Marijuana\u201d<br \/>\nKerry Cork of the Public Health Law Center gave a presentation at the 2017 annual conference for the National Association of Local Boards of Health (NALBOH) in Cleveland, Ohio.<\/p>\n<h3>Freiberg, Mike<\/h3>\n<h4>PRESENTATION:<\/h4>\n<p>8\/25\/2017 \u201cSmoke-Free Housing in Tennessee\u201d<br \/>\nMike Freiberg of the Public Health Law Center gave a presentation via web conference to advocates working on smoke-free housing in Tennessee.<\/p>\n<h3>\nFrost, Natasha<\/h3>\n<h4>PRESENTATION:<\/h4>\n<p>8\/14\/2017 \u201cWhat is Health Equity?\u201d<br \/>\nNatasha Frost and Mary Marrow of the Public Health Law Center gave a presentation on a Kansas Health Foundation webinar about key terminology around health equity, data sources for Kansas communities, using that data to identify inequities and priority populations, and considerations for addressing health equity in rural communities.<\/p>\n<h4>PRESENTATION:<\/h4>\n<p>8\/23\/2017 \u201cLegal and Policy Options for Quality in Child Care Settings\u201d<br \/>\nNatasha Frost of the Public Health Law Center gave a presentation on a CDC webinar about several interactive resources developed by the Center. States and Early Care in Education (ECE) stakeholders can use these resources to enhance their understanding of state-specific child care licensing regulations and the ECE food policy environment, using Minnesota as an example.<\/p>\n<h3>Hermer, Laura<\/h3>\n<h4>UPCOMING:<\/h4>\n<p>8\/1\/2017 Presentation\/Publication<br \/>\nMitchell Hamline Law Review invited Professor Laura Hermer to present and publish on potential changes to Minnesota&#8217;s Medical Assistance and MinnesotaCare programs in their 2018 spring symposium.<\/p>\n<h4>UPCOMING:<\/h4>\n<p>8\/1\/2017 Publication<br \/>\nLoyola University Chicago&#8217;s Law Review, Annals of Health Law, accepted Professor Laura Hermer&#8217;s article, &#8220;What to Expect When You\u2019re Expecting\u2026TANF-Style Medicaid Waivers,&#8221; for publication in this winter&#8217;s volume.<\/p>\n<h4>AWARD:<\/h4>\n<p>8\/31\/2017 John H. Faricy Professorships for Empirical Research<br \/>\nProfessor Laura Hermer was awarded the John H. Faricy Professorships for Empirical Research. She will be working on a project analyzing the impact on client wellbeing as a result of receiving legal services through the School\u2019s medical-legal partnership during the upcoming calendar year.<\/p>\n<h3>Janus, Eric<\/h3>\n<h4>OTHER:<\/h4>\n<p>8\/22\/2017<br \/>\nProfessor Eric Janus was one of two discussants in a program sponsored by the Federal Bar Association in Chief Judge Tunheim&#8217;s courtroom of the film Untouchable.
