Natasha Frost and Julie Ralston Aoki of the Public Health Law Center co-presented \u201cStifling Efforts to Build Local Food Systems: How Preemption Can Impact Your Community\u2019s Access to Healthy Food\u201d at the Rural Grocery Summit in Manhattan, Kansas. Professor Larson describes the experience: “I spoke to a classroom of African students from Zimbabwe, Lesotho, Nigeria and Zambia. I asked them how they feel about their own justice systems and what challenges they believe are faced by those systems. Then we talked about how online dispute resolution could address some of those challenges. The students were excited, and many of them came up to me after the lecture and discussion to say that they were truly inspired for the first time in their legal studies. It was tremendously rewarding, and many students promised to stay in touch.<\/p>\n Professor David Larson presented \u201cLabor Law in the United States\u201d at the China University of Political Science and Law in Beijing, China. Professor David Larson has been invited to make a presentation at the Second International Law Congress in Tehran, Iran on October 25, 2018.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Professor David Allen Larson was interviewed on June 29 by the Duluth News Tribune newspaper regarding how front pay will be determined in women’s hockey coach Shannon Miller’s successful gender discrimination lawsuit against the University of Minnesota Duluth.
