My job title is\u00a0Community Health Advocate.\u00a0My job responsibilities include:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"default\">\n<li>Providing advice and advocacy to clients on access to health care.<\/li>\n<li>Resolving health insurance coverage and access to care issues, such as treatment denials and billing disputes.<\/li>\n<li>Conducting research on health insurance policy, including benefits under the Affordable Care Act, public and commercial health insurance products and other health consumer rights and responsibilities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>When I was at Hamline my goal was to work in the health law field, and\u00a0thanks to all of you I have reached that goal.\u00a0My Certificate in General Health Law prepared me in so many ways to build a health law career! The knowledge and skills you imparted have enabled me to make a real contribution to the lives of my clients and colleagues.<\/p>\n<p>The educational challenges you provided have empowered me to continue learning and developing. I strive to read broadly in health topics and stay abreast of what is happening in both the public and private arenas.<\/p>\n<p>I have also joined the Greater Rochester Association for Women Attorneys GRAWA), and I am currently Co-chair of the GRAWA Women&#8217;s Health Committee.
