HCSC is the largest customer-owned health insurer in the United States and fourth largest overall, operating through its Blue Cross and Blue Shield\u00ae Plans in Illinois, Montana, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas. After graduating from Hamline\u2019s Health Care Compliance Certificate in May 2014, she was offered a position in the HCSC Privacy Office, located at the corporate headquarters in downtown Chicago. It was a big promotion, allowing her to work enterprise wide and at the corporate level.\u201d<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Since starting in her position as Privacy Administrator, she has applied her Hamline education by: investigating, resolving and documenting cases related to privacy; drafting response letters regarding HIPAA privacy concerns and individual rights; analyzing state and federal privacy legislation for operational implementation; reviewing detailed operating procedures against corporate policies and standards, and developing PowerPoint presentations for business area training &amp; development.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBeing a member of the corporate Privacy Office team is challenging and rewarding work related to HIPAA privacy compliance and oversight.
