Mitchell Hamline’s Health Law Institute presents:<\/h3>\n

Addressing food insecurity is more than providing supplemental calories to hungry people.\u00a0 Our Symposium will demonstrate that effectively challenging food insecurity requires multi-level, equitable access to better nutrition, health resources, education, earning potential, and ultimate well-being.<\/p>\n

Our expert speakers and panel will initially cover the big picture of food insecurity on a Federal and state level.\u00a0 Presentations will then address the societal gaps and systemic and legal barriers of and to food insecurity and provide an update from the recent White House Conference on Hunger, Nutrition, and Health.\u00a0 Lastly, a panel of representatives from non-profits in the food insecurity area, State and Federal government, academia and business will address what can be done collectively in the private and public sector to achieve equity and solutions for those affected by food insecurity.<\/p>\n
