Professor Janus was joined on the panel by Professor Aya Gruber of the USC Gould School of Law, Jeremy Travis, Senior Fellow, Columbia Justice Lab, and Judge Mary Huffman of the Ohio Court of Appeals.<\/p>\n<p><strong>PUBLICATION: 4\/24\/2024 &#8220;Sex Offense Civil Commitment: Minnesota\u2019s Failed Investment and the $100 Million Opportunity to Stop Sexual Violence&#8221;<\/strong><br \/>\nProfessor Eric Janus and Elena Siegel, director and Legal Fellow, respectively, of Mitchell Hamline\u2019s Sex Offense Litigation &amp; Policy Resource Center issued the report, &#8220;Sex Offense Civil Commitment: Minnesota\u2019s Failed Investment and the $100 Million Opportunity to Stop Sexual Violence.&#8221; The report documents the failure of Minnesota\u2019s civil commitment program for sex offenders to reduce sexual violence while unnecessarily violating civil and human rights.
