Drug policy in this country is rapidly evolving. As attitudes towards drug policy shift, laws prohibiting the use of psychedelics are being reexamined. Several state and local government have decriminalized the use of psychedelics. As laws liberalize, industry is taking advantage of these shifting attitudes to apply for intellectual property protection for uses of psychedelics.\u00a0 However, the use of psychedelics implicates individual and religious freedoms in ways that have not previously been in conflict with intellectual property rights.\u00a0 Our panelists will discuss these emerging issues and explore the ways that psychedelics create new intersections in the law, not previously considered.<\/p>\n
