Jon Harkness is a Senior Acquisitions Editor at West Academic, where he works with authors (primarily law professors) to publish books that are mainly targeted to the law-school market. Jon has been at West Academic since early 2015. Before that, he practiced IP law (mostly patent prosecution) at a small firm after taking a mid-life trip to Hamline Law School, where he graduated in 2011.\u00a0 For about a dozen years before law school, Jon interacted with the legal profession as a litigation consultant and expert witness, putting a Ph.D. in the History of Science and Technology to work elucidating state-of-the-art issues in toxic-tort litigation and prior-art issues in patent litigation.
