The forum will be broken down into two panels, each addressing a hot button issue in the 2019 Minnesota Legislative Session.<\/p>\n<p>This forum is intended to provide a discussion and critical analysis, all while informing the public on some of the issues their legislators will be addressing in the current session.<\/p>\n<h2>Panel One: Tax Legislation<\/h2>\n<p>The first panel will discuss matters pertaining to tax law, including Minnesota\u2019s current tax conformity and reform efforts. Speakers for the first panel include:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"default\">\n<li>Senator Roger Chamberlain, Chair of the Senate Taxes Committee<\/li>\n<li>Senator Ann Rest, Ranking Minority Member of the Senate Taxes Committee<\/li>\n<li>Jenny Starr, Assistant Commissioner for the Department of Revenue<\/li>\n<li>Rep. Paul Marquart, Chair of the House Taxes Committee<\/li>\n<li>Rep. Joe McDonald, Former Vice Chair and Current Member of the House Taxes Committee<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Panel Two: Marijuana Legalization<\/h2>\n<p>The second panel (which will begin at approximately 7:45pm) will be a critical and even-handed discussion of the prospects for recreational marijuana legalization in Minnesota. The speakers for this second panel include:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"default\">\n<li>Daniel Pollock, Deputy Commissioner for the Minnesota Department of Health\n<li>Rep.
