If you still need help after that, contact\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:posters@mitchellhamline.edu\">posters@mitchellhamline.edu<\/a>.<\/p>\n<div class=\"accordion-wrapper\">\n<ul class=\"accordion\">\n<li class=\"accordion-item\">\n<h4 class=\"accordion-item-title\">Poster Guidelines and Recommendations<\/h4>\n<div class=\"accordion-item-body\"><strong>\u2022 Accepted file formats<\/strong>: <strong>png<\/strong> for posters that are mostly text, logos, lines, and shapes or <strong>jpg<\/strong> for posters containing photographs or gradients.<br \/>\n<strong>\u2022 <\/strong><strong>Required file dimensions<\/strong>: 720 wide x 1280 high<br \/>\n<strong>\u2022 <\/strong><strong>Maximum word count<\/strong>: 75\u00a0words [ideal word count is between 15 and 40]. Use the poster to direct visitors to a Docket post, website, web page, or social media property. Do not attempt to say everything with the poster.<br \/>\n<strong>\u2022 <\/strong><strong>No borders<\/strong> around posters and no leave a text-free margin of approximately 5% around the poster<br \/>\n<strong>\u2022 <\/strong><strong>Follow Mitchell Hamline style<\/strong>: no spaces around dashes; eliminate zeros from times and use lower case am\/pm (<strong>1 pm<\/strong> not 1:00 P.M.); use <strong>noon<\/strong> not 12:00 PM; do not add\u00a0<sup>st<\/sup> and <sup>th<\/sup> to dates (July 1 not July 1<sup>st<\/sup>); eliminate repetition (<strong>2017\u201318<\/strong> not 2017-2018)<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"accordion-item\">\n<h4 class=\"accordion-item-title\">Poster Template and Instructions<\/h4>\n<div class=\"accordion-item-body\">\n<p>You have PowerPoint, you can make a nice poster!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/mitchellhamline.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/12\/2016\/06\/MH-Poster-Template.potx\">Download the Mitchell Hamline Poster Template<\/a><\/p>\n<p>You&#8217;ll find some sample layouts in that file as slides. Choose one and prepare your poster to the guidelines above. When it&#8217;s ready, follow these steps.<\/p>\n<p>1. Make sure the slide with your poster design is selected.<\/p>\n<p>2. Click File | Export | <strong>Change File Type<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>3. Select either PNG (mostly text\/logos) or JPEG (if you have photos or gradients)<\/p>\n<p>4. Click <strong>Save As<\/strong> (no punctuation in the file name and choose &#8220;Just This One&#8221;)<\/p>\n<p>5.
