New policies and energy technologies are creating regulatory and market uncertainty, and that means traditional business models for utilities may no longer apply.<\/p>\n<p>Mitchell Hamline and the Minnesota State Bar Association Public Utilities Law Section are hosting a 3-credit CLE program on how the changes could affect the utility industry on Friday, April 7. The event is called &#8220;Changing Times for the Electric Utilities Industry.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The keynote speaker will be <a href=\"http:\/\/www.eei.org\/about\/leadership\/Pages\/Philip-D.-Moeller.aspx\">Phillip Moeller<\/a>, Edison Electric Institute senior vice president and former commissioner at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. In addition, two panels of regulatory and utility experts will discuss the changing landscape for utilities and how they&#8217;re adapting.<\/p>\n<p>Admission is free for law students.
