Mitchell Hamline student Dominic Terry is profiled in the October issue of Attorney at Law Magazine. Terry is in the HYBRID J.D. program and also works as a full-time law clerk\u00a0in the child protection division at the Ramsey County Attorney\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n

Terry says his own life shaped how he works with families going through the child protection system.\u00a0He was raised by his uncle, aunt, and grandmother. Now he has two 3-year-old sons of his own \u2013 a biological son and a nephew he adopted.<\/p>\n

\u201cA lot of this job relates to my personal experiences,\u201d he says in the Attorney at Law profile. \u201cIt gives me a greater understanding of some of the issues \u2013 what parents might be going through, what children might be going through. These might be the roughest years of these families\u2019 lives.\u201d<\/p>\n
