Frank V. Harris &#8217;75, retired executive director of Minnesota Continuing Legal Education, will serve as chair.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_16701\" style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-16701\" class=\"wp-image-16701 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/mitchellhamline.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/12\/2020\/07\/thumbnail_Frank-Harris_400x225-300x169.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"169\" srcset=\"https:\/\/mitchellhamline.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/12\/2020\/07\/thumbnail_Frank-Harris_400x225-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/mitchellhamline.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/12\/2020\/07\/thumbnail_Frank-Harris_400x225.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-16701\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Frank Harris &#8217;75, new chair of the Mitchell Hamline board of trustees.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Joining the 33-member board, which oversees operations for the law school, are:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"default\">\n<li>Alex Beeby &#8217;16, attorney with Larkin Hoffman. Beeby is the alumni board representative to the board of trustees.<\/li>\n<li>Patrick Garay-Heelan &#8217;09, senior vice president and senior wealth advisor at Bremer Wealth;<\/li>\n<li>David G. Hellmuth &#8217;92, founding partner of Hellmuth &amp; Johnson;<\/li>\n<li>Chris Montana &#8217;13, owner of Du Nord Craft Spirits;<\/li>\n<li>Melissa Lee Wright &#8217;93, senior vice president and general counsel at Twin Cities PBS.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Frances L. Kern &#8217;13 had been serving as alumni board representative. That role now goes to Beeby, but Kern remains on the board. Amber Goodwin will serve as student representative to the board.<\/p>\n<p>Harris is moving from vice chair to chair, and he will be taking over leadership of the board from Lisa A. Gray &#8217;86, who is rotating off the board. Nicole James Gilchrist &#8217;03 will serve as vice chair; Steven Kirsch &#8217;76 will continue as secretary; and Gregory L. Buck &#8217;87 becomes treasurer.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to Gray, the following trustees have completed their terms as trustees and are stepping down: Judge Jill Flaskamp Halbrooks &#8217;85, James J. Hoolihan &#8217;79, Ellen G. Sampson &#8217;84, and David M. Sparby &#8217;80.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Trustees emeriti:<\/strong> Mitchell Hamline has also designated two former trustees as trustees emeriti. Former Minnesota Supreme Court Chief Justice Eric J. Magnuson &#8217;76 and former Associate Justice Helen M. Meyer &#8217;83 join fellow trustees emeriti \u00a0Louis Ainsworth &#8217;77; Lawrence Bell &#8217;79; Stephen Bonner &#8217;72; Robert Burk &#8217;65; Charlton Dietz \u201957, LL.D &#8217;93; Samuel Hanson &#8217;65; Stephen Lewis Jr.; Daniel O&#8217;Keefe &#8217;78; Kathleen Flynn Peterson &#8217;81; Karlin Symons &#8217;88; and Jerrol Tostrud.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Alumni board: <\/strong>Mitchell Hamline&#8217;s Alumni Association board also has a change in membership and leadership starting July 1.<\/p>\n<p>Alex Beeby &#8217;16 takes over as president, with Landon Ascheman &#8217;09 serving as vice president. New members include Jason Johnson &#8217;18, Jackie Perez &#8217;19, Kevin Cassidy &#8217;16, Joe Roach &#8217;94, and Evan Tsai &#8217;07. The Hon.
