{"id":72818,"date":"2025-05-29T11:31:33","date_gmt":"2025-05-29T16:31:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mitchellhamline.edu\/news\/?p=72818"},"modified":"2025-05-31T00:19:56","modified_gmt":"2025-05-31T05:19:56","slug":"over-300-to-graduate-from-mitchell-hamline-school-of-law","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mitchellhamline.edu\/news\/2025\/05\/29\/over-300-to-graduate-from-mitchell-hamline-school-of-law\/","title":{"rendered":"Over 300 to graduate from Mitchell Hamline School of Law"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Another academic year has closed, and over 300 Mitchell Hamline graduates will be honored at the law school\u2019s commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 31.<\/p>\n<p>The class of 2025 includes graduates from 45 U.S. states and D.C., as well as Canada, Germany, Argentina, Singapore, the United Kingdom, and 12 First Nations and Tribal Nations across the continent. The ceremony annually recognizes the students who have completed their Master of Laws or Juris Doctor degrees throughout the year, whether after the fall and spring terms.<\/p>\n<p>Keeli Siyaka \u201925, an enrolled member of the Sisseton Wahpeton Oyate, will give the land acknowledgement, followed by McKenna Coffeen \u201925 as the student speaker. Mitchell Hamline proudly welcomes Minnesota <a href=\"https:\/\/mitchellhamline.edu\/news\/2025\/04\/24\/lt-gov-peggy-flanagan-to-deliver-mitchell-hamline-commencement-address\/\">Lieutenant Governor Peggy Flanagan to deliver the commencement address<\/a> to the class of 2025. Flanagan is the state\u2019s 50<sup>th<\/sup> lieutenant governor, a member of the White Earth Band of Ojibwe, and the country\u2019s highest ranking Native woman elected to executive office.<\/p>\n<p>More information about the ceremony can be found on the <a href=\"https:\/\/mitchellhamline.edu\/dean-of-students\/commencement\/\">commencement webpage<\/a>.
