\"\"Mitchell Hamline School of Law is holding its first-ever Day of Gratitude<\/a> on Dec. 10, closing a year of celebrating its 125-year anniversary with a day filled with appreciation and generosity. The day will bring together students, faculty, staff, alumni, and supporters to share stories of how the law school has impacted their lives and support future generations of law students.<\/p>\n

For Professor Mike Steenson, Mitchell Hamline has been his life. \u201cI\u2019ve given this law school pretty much everything I have for a long, long time,\u201d he said. \u201cI think it\u2019s really important for people to give back to the law school that\u2019s given so much to them. Without Mitchell Hamline, I never would\u2019ve been able to do what I\u2019ve done in my professional career.\u201d<\/p>\n

There are many ways for members of the community to give back to Mitchell Hamline. Alumni can give their time<\/a> to serve as a mentor to current students, conduct mock interviews, provide job shadows, host externships, and participate in information panels, presentations, and networking events. They can share their story of gratitude or make a gift<\/a> to Mitchell Hamline.<\/p>\n

All gifts made on Day of Gratitude will directly support student scholarships, helping to make legal education possible and creating opportunities for students to hone real-world skills and find their passions.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am forever grateful for the investment Mitchell Hamline has made in me and for the space it provides for students to evolve, challenge themselves, and discover their purpose,\u201d said Angela Marie Smith, a current 3L student. \u201cThank you for empowering me to step into my future with clarity, confidence, and conviction!\u201d<\/p>\n
