City of Chicago, 901 F.3d 823 (7th Cir. 2018)<\/h2>\n<p><strong><strong>Nature of Case: <\/strong><\/strong> Two homeless individuals in Chicago who were required to register as sex offenders brought class action suit for deprivation of Procedural Due Process rights when Chicago law enforcement refused to register individuals in contravention of state law. Subsequent to refusal of state officials to register plaintiffs, plaintiffs were arrested for failing to register. District Court dismissed claims, Plaintiffs appealed.<\/p>\n<p><strong><br \/>\nHolding:\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a07th Circuit Court of Appeals affirmed the lower court&#8217;s dismissal.
