Ct. 2020)<\/h2>\n<p><strong><strong>Nature of Case: <\/strong><\/strong> Petitioner brought an an action against the Pennsylvania State Police seeking injunctive and declaratory relief against the Pennsylvania State Police, alleging that his placement on Pennsylvania&#8217;s sex offense registry violated the Ex Post Facto clause of the constitution.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Holding: <\/strong> The Pennsylvania Commonwealth Court held that, in Appellant&#8217;s case, the newly-revised Pennsylvania sex offense registry scheme was unconstitutional. The Court reasoned that, in line with both the prior decision in <a href=\"https:\/\/scholar.google.com\/scholar_case?case=17055589447719518740&amp;q=164+A.3d+1189&amp;hl=en&amp;as_sdt=4000006\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><i>Commonwealth v.
