Hamilton, No. 19-4852 (4th Cir. 2021)<\/h2>\n<p><strong><strong>Nature of Case: <\/strong><\/strong> Appellant was convicted of sex offenses in federal court and sentenced to a period of imprisonment along with a lifetime of supervised release with several special conditions. Among those conditions were prohibitions on employment without prior probation approval and internet access restrictions. Appellant appealed after objecting to several of these conditions of supervised release.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Holding: <\/strong> The Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals vacated and remanded on the condition of supervision that constituted a ban on employment without prior probation approval, in view of the fact that employment was not connected with the offense.
