JOIN US for the second event in our engaging lunch-hour series, where we’ll explore the impactful work of the Reinvestigation Workgroup—a dedicated volunteer team that re-examines cases of police violence after official investigations close.
We’ll discuss their work in cases like Cordale Handy, who was fatally shot by St. Paul police in 2017, leading to an $11.5 million jury verdict later retried and reduced to $3.25 million, and Marcus Golden, who was killed by police in 2015, resulting in a record-breaking settlement, the largest in St. Paul’s history.
Let’s discuss the legal aspects, societal impact, and potential reforms surrounding these cases. It’s a great opportunity to learn, share your thoughts, and be part of the conversation on this important topic. See you there! Please RSVP by Thursday, March 6th, 2025.
*The event will also be available virtually via Zoom. A link will be sent prior to the start of the event. If you know you are only able to attend virtually, please register under “General Admission – Virtual”*
