Students will be challenged to apply corporate lawyering skills by providing legal advice on a potential business opportunity to a hypothetical health care client.\u00a0 Three-person teams of JD students will prepare a legal memorandum that summarizes their legal and business advice for the client. Students will then appear in a boardroom environment before distinguished attorneys and health care executives serving as the client&#8217;s &#8220;Executive Management Team&#8221; to present their analysis of the client&#8217;s position and recommendations on how the client should proceed.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.luc.edu\/law\/currentstudents\/competitions\/nationalhealthlawtransactionalmootcourtcompetition\/\">https:\/\/www.luc.edu\/law\/currentstudents\/competitions\/nationalhealthlawtransactionalmootcourtcompetition\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Mitchell Hamline is looking to form a team for 2021. The team will be coached by a sub ject matters experts at Fredrkson &amp; Byron. This would be a 2-credit registration in the spring 2021 semester. Not every member of the three-person team needs health law experience. Some members may have business or business law experience. Note that the competition runs January to March.<\/p>\n<p>If you are interested, please contact Professor Pope.
