The tryouts will be held over zoom.\u00a0 If you are interested in trying out, please contact Judge McCollum at <a href=\"mailto:Cynthia.mccollum@courts.state.mn.us\">Cynthia.mccollum@courts.state.mn.us<\/a> directly for more information and to schedule the zoom try-out.\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0For the try outs, students will need to prepare an opening statement of 5 minutes and short cross examination using a case that will be provided by Judge McCollum. \u00a0Students can pick either plaintiff or defendant for their opening and cross exam.\u00a0 \u00a0If students make the team, they will get 2 credits for their work.<\/p>\n<p>Judge McCollum has assembled winning teams for the last 15 years. \u00a0Mock trial participants from Mitchell have won the regional competitions or placed as regional runner up 7 times since 2012.
