We will hear from guest speakers who will address the importance of LegalCORPS&#8217; work, particularly\u00a0in light of the events of the past year, including:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"default\">\n<li>Tina Smith &#8211; US Senator from Minnesota<\/li>\n<li>Steve Simon &#8211;\u00a0 Minnesota Secretary of State<\/li>\n<li>Joseph Green &#8211; General Counsel, TCF Financial Corporation<\/li>\n<li>Emma Kasiga &#8211; Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We will also be recognizing\u00a0<strong>Alysia Zens, Pro Bono Counsel at Dorsey &amp; Whitney\u00a0<\/strong>and LegalCORPS board member, as our\u00a0<strong>Volunteer of the Year<\/strong>, and providing special recognition and thanks to\u00a0<strong>Volunteers Lawyers&#8217; Network<\/strong>\u00a0for their partnership during the last four months as LegalCORPS has responded to the needs of our communities in light of COVID and the civil unrest.<\/p>\n<p>The event will be completely virtual this year but promises to be fun and rewarding all the same.
