There are two mock trial competitions: AAJ &amp; TYLA. Participation is worth two credits per competition.<u><\/u><u><\/u><\/p>\n<p class=\"m_-5569361746664843669Default\"><strong>Tryouts will be held over Zoom any time December 14-18 from 3pm-9pm<\/strong>. To apply, please e-mail Judge McCollum at <a href=\"mailto:Cynthia.McCollum@courts.state.mn.us\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Cynthia.McCollum@courts.state.mn.us<\/a> with which year you are currently in law school and what date\/time works for you. Plan for the tryout to last 15 minutes.<u><\/u><u><\/u><\/p>\n<p class=\"m_-5569361746664843669Default\">For the tryout, you will need to do two things:<u><\/u><u><\/u><\/p>\n<ol class=\"default\">\n<li class=\"m_-5569361746664843669Default\">Give an opening statement (approx. 4 minutes) and a cross examination (no longer than 8 minutes).\n<ul class=\"default\">\n<li class=\"m_-5569361746664843669Default\">Use the fact pattern of the <i><span lang=\"NL\">Mullen v. Hale<\/span><\/i> case from Advocacy class. You may pick either side.
