Anansi Wilson needs a Research Assistant to work during the Summer of 2021, and then at least through the end of Fall Semester 2021.\u00a0 Dr. Wilson\u2019s current projects include several articles concerning the policing, criminalization and profiling of Black and BlaQueer people from slavery to the present.\u00a0 In addition, the Research Assistant may be asked to help with course administration and review for one of Dr. Wilson\u2019s classes; though most of the RA\u2019s time will be focused on editing and review of articles and research. A background in or prior study of critical race theory, slavery studies, Black Studies, Queer Theory, Black feminist theory, American Studies and\/or political economy would be most helpful; in addition to criminal and constitutional law.\u00a0 Interested students should see <a href=\"https:\/\/repository.uchastings.edu\/hastings_constitutional_law_quaterly\/vol48\/iss1\/5\/\">Furtive Blackness: On Blackness &amp; Being<\/a> to understand the type of work we will be co-creating.
