What is the Burger Inn of Court?<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Warren E. Burger Inn of Court is a professional organization of judges, lawyers, law professors and law students in their final year of law school who are devoted to promoting Legal Excellence, Civility, Professionalism and Ethics in the law profession.<\/p>\n

Why <\/strong>s<\/strong>hould I consider being a member?<\/strong><\/p>\n

You will have the opportunity to meet and become acquainted with judges and lawyers you may never have met if not for this experience. There are nine Mitchell Hamline School of Law student members in the Inn each year. Each student member is assigned to a group that is hosted by a judge.\u00a0This is a fantastic opportunity to\u00a0meet practicing attorneys and judges and build a relationship with other members of the Inn. You will also work with the other members of the Inn of Court on a presentation that your group will present to the Inn membership. Each month a different group presents on their topic. Active participation as a student member is very important to a successful Inn of Court experience.\u00a0Students are expected to attend all\u00a0Inn meetings.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Inn will meet in-person on the third Wednesday of each month at the Town & Country Club, 300 Mississippi Boulevard in Saint Paul, Minnesota. Meetings will start at 5pm CT with a social hour followed by a formal meeting from 6-8pm CT. The meeting dates for 2021-2022 are September 15, 2021, October 20, 2021, and November 17, 2021, January 19, 2022, February 16, 2022, March 16, 2022, April 20, 2022, and May 18, 2022.<\/p>\n

You must be available to attend all in-person meetings at the Town and Country Club in St. Paul to participate in this year\u2019s Inn of Court.<\/em><\/p>\n
