The Ramsey County Attorney’s Office is recruiting candidates for law clerk positions: Youth Justice & Wellness <\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
QUALIFICATIONS:<\/strong><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
\u2022 Second or third year Law School Student<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
\u2022 Qualified to become a Certified Student Attorney<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
\u2022 Courses in Criminal law, Criminal Procedure or Evidence helpful<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
DUTIES:<\/strong><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
All duties are carried out under the supervision of Assistant Ramsey County Attorneys.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Duties include appearing on behalf of the Ramsey County Attorney in court proceedings, legal research and writing, assisting attorneys in preparing cases for court hearings. <\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
STARTING SALARY:<\/strong> $20.07 per hour<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
SCHEDULE:<\/strong><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Candidates must be available for a work schedule involving daytime hours during the week. Supervisors make an effort to accommodate requests for time off to prepare for final exams and to grant leaves to study for the bar exam. <\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
TERM OF EMPLOYMENT:<\/strong><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Employment of Law Clerks will terminate no later than: <\/em><\/strong><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Spring graduates:<\/strong> <\/em> the following January 1<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Winter graduates:<\/strong><\/em> the following June 15<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Or if your position requires court appearances, employment may terminate when you are no longer eligible to appear in court.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
