To be eligible for the MAIBA Law Student Scholarship you must:<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022 Be an Associate Member of MAIBA (If you are not a MAIBA member, you can become a member by completing
\nthe membership application available at http:\/\/www.maiba.org\/membership-application\/<\/a>);
\n\u2022 Provide documentation that you are either: (a)<\/strong> an enrolled member of a federally-recognized American Indian
\ntribe; or (b)<\/strong> recognized by your American Indian community of residence or origin as being American Indian
\n(consistent with MAIBA criteria for Associate membership).
\n\u2022 Be a second, third or fourth year law student at a Minnesota law school (during the academic year in which the
\nscholarship is to be awarded);
\n\u2022 Demonstrate that you are currently in academic good standing;
\n\u2022 Demonstrate that you have a financial need;
\n\u2022 Submit a written personal statement;
\n\u2022 Submit at least one (1)<\/strong> letter of recommendation;
\n\u2022 Submit a signed application form;
\n\u2022 Submit additional optional materials if applicable.<\/p>\n

To be considered, your application must be complete at the time of submission consisting of required documents and
\nany other necessary attachments listed in the Application Cover Form.<\/p>\n

The deadline is FRIDAY, OCTOBER 29, 2021<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
