The application period for the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity’s (LCLD) 2022 1L Scholars Program is now OPEN<\/a>. <\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Designed to offer diverse, first-year law students the opportunity to spend a summer working side-by-side with attorneys from LCLD Member organizations, 165 (and counting) law firms and corporations will be hosting summer internships across the country.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
In addition to a meaningful summer internship, 2022 1L Scholars also have the opportunity to benefit from:<\/strong><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
\u2022 Attending the 2022 1L LCLD Virtual Scholars Summit on June 7-9, 2022, which helps students build leadership and networking skills. You can view the agenda from 2021 here as the agenda for 2022 is currently being created.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
\u2022 <\/span>Mock interviews<\/strong> with attorneys from selected LCLD Member law firms <\/a><\/span>\u00a0and LCLD Member corporations<\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
\u2022 <\/span>Career-development <\/strong>resources<\/strong> and long-term connections <\/span>with other 1L Scholars via the exclusive 1L LCLD Scholars LinkedIn group. 1L Scholars will be invited to join the LinkedIn group in spring 2022.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
\u2022 <\/span>Group Mentoring Program (GMP)<\/strong> events during the summer for 1L Scholars to continue to build their network and participate in professional development sessions.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
